Refresher

WHY PURCHASE

A 1 1/2 lesson is perfect for the student driver (teens 16 1/2 - 17) who have held their permits for almost 1 year and needs a refresher prior to taking a driving test. Also great for that older teen who has had some practice but needs more confidence with their driving ability.  6 hours of lessons is mandatory for those teens who want to get their license between 16 and 16 1/2 years old.

INSTRUCTOR FOCUS

Driving instructor will ensure the student is driving correctly (no bad habits) and will make recommendations based upon student's driving performance.

DRIVING LESSONS

Teens must have their permit prior to scheduling any driving lessons. Lessons are scheduled 1 1/2 hours at a time with a state approved driving instructor in a 1st Drive vehicle. Student (teen 15 - 17) will coordinate with 1st Drive for meeting location. Driving lessons are scheduled on a “first called – first scheduled” basis. Our peak periods are: School breaks, school holidays and federal holidays. Parents, please plan ahead as appointments fill quickly during these periods.

RESTRICTIONS

Lessons will be conducted with only one student in the vehicle at a time. Lessons expire 12 months from purchased date or no later than 12 months from student receiving their permit.

DRIVING TESTS

1st Drive offers the state driver's exam for an additional fee. Teens with an out-of-state permit can test once but must first go to https://mydmv.colorado.gov/ to pre-register.
